A modern marvel of engineering in its day, the Hoover Dam was officially dedicated in 1935 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Its 19 turbines supply power to public and private utilities throughout Arizona, California and Nevada. But technology has improved considerably over the years and the dam was in need of significant modernization. When the engineering team had a critical need for Monel® bar machined to customized dimensions to continue the turbine updates, All Metal Sales, Inc. answered the call. While others could supply the Monel® bar in weeks, AMS was able to turn around the metal in 1 day ensuring the efforts could remain on schedule.
